Senior Financial Analyst

Our team works on accounting for over $10,000,000 per month for some of cannabis industries largest companies.
Your duties will be to:

• Review Junior Accountant’s account reconciliations as needed
• Improve and own the accounts payable, corporate card management, and employee expense processes
• Improve upon and develop month-end close schedules and processes
• Maintain adequate documentation and records of close
• Assist with preparation of monthly reporting package with the ability to provide insight into the flux analysis
• Prepare journal entries and prepare reconciliations for accounts such as benefits, fixed assets, prepaids, accrued expenses and intercompany reconciliations
• Develop accounting policies and procedures and implement internal controls for areas of responsibility
• Perform review to guarantee accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all payroll reporting in General Ledger Support external audit
• Research technical accounting issues and draft accounting position memos as necessary
• Review company contracts for proper treatment under US GAAP
• Train junior team members on technical accounting matters
• Assist in managing service provider relationships including audit, tax, and technical accounting
• Advanced English skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of accounting experience
• Minimum of 2 years of auditing experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
• Experience with QuickBooks and various accounting SaaS platforms is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Purposeful with the ability to prioritize and oversee multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines
• Ability to correlate operational change with financial impact
